News: Lagardere Distribution company has acquired the rights to the adventure series of NTV "Five minutes of silence"

Cannes, 16.10.2019 - One of Europe's leading distribution companies, French Lagardere Distribution, a part of the Lagardere Studios group of companies, has acquired the rights to the action-packed NTV series "Five Minutes of Silence". The deal package includes the rights for two seasons of the project, as well as the series format to create an adaptation.

This is the first deal between the largest producer of tightly-plotted  content in Russia and one of the leaders of the French television market.

"Due to the existing system of protectionism and protection of national media producers, the French television market has a reputation as one of the most complicated for international companies. I am glad that the exciting plot of the series "Five Minutes of Silence" aroused the interest of the largest French company Lagardere both as a finished product and as a format. The deal was a real breakthrough for NTV in the European media space," Timur Weinstein, General Producer of NTV says.

"Five minutes of silence" is a work phrase of the rescue team members. While the debris is being removed, this command turns off all heavy machinery and the rescue team listens to the silence to hear possible cries for help from the blocked people.

The series tells about the life of the rescue team, working in the picturesque forests of Karelia. Experienced team members are joined by a newcomer from Moscow. From a capital dandy, he turns into a real hero by saving the lives of others every day. The audience has highly appreciated the dynamically developing plot, professional tricks, and original idea of the series. During the show, the project share reached 16% among the audience "All 18+".
