On May 31, filming of the four-part melodrama "Book Girl" began in St. Petersburg.

Zhenya lost her parents early and grew up in the house of a domineering old-regime grandmother, accustomed to obey her in everything. This does not depress the girl, because she spends more time in the world of dreams and read stories than in reality. When her uncle, a sanitary doctor, arranges for her niece to work as a nurse in his hospital, Zhenya immediately falls in love with the chief surgeon. Ruslan Volchetkin seems to her like a real knight in shining armor. But the knight is married and, despite his obvious interest in his Wife, he does not intend to divorce: his wife Olga is a mental invalid, and it is unthinkable to leave her. After learning about Zhenya's infatuation, her grandmother forces her to immediately leave the hospital forever and finds a job for her granddaughter in a bookstore. But even when she finds herself in the best place in the world, even after meeting an interesting and mysterious stranger, the book girl cannot forget Ruslan. To oust the knight from her heart, a more fascinating plot is needed. And such a plot awaits Zhenya ahead.
