Filmmaking news: Cycle “Three ladies in pursuit of money and happiness”

A pre-production period on the trilogy based on ironic detective stories by Natalya Alexandrova from the “Three ladies in pursuit of money and happiness” cycle has started. Three films (4 episodes each) are going to be released in the fall of 2015.The casting is currently in the process.


Katya, Zhanna and Irina are cheerful thirty-odd-year-old friends. They had have no secrets from each other for ages and are used to confide in each other and help out in any distress. They don’t need to look for a trouble, as the trouble always finds them. Having come to a resort for a weekend, the friends meet a girl named Olga and collect her book by mistake. That same day, they find a dead body of a stranger man in their resort room while Olga disappears. Our ladies get back home. After a while, all three ladies acquire suitors, but gradually they realize that these three admirers are actually one person. However, before they succeed in exposing him, he is also found dead and one of the ladies is a prime suspect. But this is only half of it! Soon they begin getting threatening phone calls. A man unknown demands Olga’s book from them. And this is the very book in which someone has encoded the whereabouts of a hiding place where the resort dead man stashed five million Euro…

Just a few minutes later they see that very same man lying on the restroom floor, shot dead. Before the police arrives on the spot, Katya manages not only to leave her fingerprints on the gun, but to snatch the dead’s envelop with money and photos as well. Now there is nothing for our ladies but to solve this case themselves, before Katya is imprisoned for a murder.
