Only recently Anna's life could be called smooth: at work, she was considered the best specialist; at home, she had her old stepfather and 15-year-old son, Kostya, a promising violin student. And suddenly, it all went down at once. As a result of her haters' plot, she was fired with cause; the stepfather died suddenly and left no will, so his son Boris claimed his rights to the apartment and started threatening Anna. Scared for her son's life, Anna moves into a tiny apartment in the outskirts where she is pestered by drunk neighbors, and Kostya becomes the favorite target of his hooligan classmates at the new school. Unexpectedly, Nastya, the daughter of a former box champion Nikolay, who raised her alone after his wife died, stands up for the boy. Nastya's dad and Kostya's mom do not like their friendship: Anna and Nikolay disliked each other since they met. However, when Anna ends up on the street, evicted from the apartment, and when she finds her son's father and realizes that he is a scoundrel, she understands that Nikolay is the one who will become her hope and her support.
